About Pattern & Material

Ajiro is made by weaving bamboo or wood in place of netting, and comes in many weave patterns. Here the ajiro appears as a woven ground, giving the cloth a sense of depth.
In a soft, grown-up purple — benifuji — the cloth has a gentle texture and a well-judged drape.
