The collection title, "Ninifuni" (classically written as 二而不二), is a Japanese term rooted in Mikkyō (Tantric Buddhism) that translates to "two but not two." It represents the essence of the Ryokai Mandala, conveying that while one thing may present two different aspects, those two aspects inherently converge into a single, unified essence.
For this collection, YANTOR explored the various layers within the creation process, harmonizing each concept into every single piece. Just as a garment is constructed from two different fabrics, yet those fabrics originate from the exact same thread, this long shirt blends diverse elements into a singular, balanced form. Handwoven from lightweight and breathable Khadi cotton, this shirt features an expressive wide pin-stripe pattern that captures the philosophy of the collection.
