About Pattern & Material

Flowers and leaves flourish across a black ground. Each motif is rendered not in a single flat color but in shifting tones of the same family, giving the cloth a three-dimensional depth.
Hand embroidery brings out the dimension of the flowers and leaves further, and traces the characteristic kasure (faded, brushed texture) of the kimono cloth.
