During the Edo period, there was competition to make potted plants, and breeding progressed, with many varieties coming to be cultivated, from delicate ones to large-flowered ones.
The large, gorgeous chrysanthemum flowers fill the entire fabric, leaving no gaps, and really convey the excitement and popularity of chrysanthemums at the time!
