About Pattern & Material

On a pale blue base, a soaring hōō phoenix and floral motifs are dyed in calm tones. The cloth carries a fine woven ground, so the pattern surfaces subtly with the angle of the light. All-over in pattern, yet it gives a clean, refined impression.
A soft, supple silk is used, marked by comfort as it follows the body. Silk's restrained luster and smooth drape bring out the character of the ground-patterned cloth.
