Wash with water where possible.

Yūzen, black tomesode, hōmongi, and the like.
Even washing with water alone can cause color to transfer within the same fabric, so keep water washing to a minimum. As care, air-dry in the shade in a well-ventilated place after wearing.
To keep the color and character of the underlying kimono fabric, we strongly recommend a professional cleaner.

"Fabric shrinkage" is low. Please care for it following the enclosed "Kimonofuku Care Guide."

Before tailoring, we pass the kimono through water to pre-shrink it. Shrinking beyond that is rare, but if it feels shrunk, iron it half-dry with a pressing cloth.
3 High
Omeshi, kōryū chirimen, or pieces tailored with a lining, etc.
Passing through water causes the shape to distort. Because restoring the original garment silhouette is extremely difficult, we strongly recommend a professional cleaner.

Once fully dry, wrinkles are hard to remove even with an iron, and forcing the iron can damage the fabric.
So, before drying, apply steam, gently smooth the ridged areas by hand, and after wearing, air-dry in the shade in a well-ventilated place.
3 High
Omeshi, kōryū chirimen, and crepe fabrics in general.
Once dry, wrinkles may not come out even with steam, and forcing them can rob the fabric of its character.
To keep the fabric's character, we strongly recommend a professional cleaner.
